Podcast Interview: Jonathan Coulton

June 19, 2008 – 4:15 pm

Jonathan Coulton

I was going to edit this, but it’s taking me forever…the interview itself was great and fun and I hope you enjoy it even though I had Jonathan introduce himself…at the end!

I also took the liberty of having it transcribed: ENJOY!

Another great interview of Jonathan Coulton who is always both thoughtful and interesting.

I wonder how much of Jonathan’s success is due to the particularly nerdy web focused niche that his music appeals to? Is he an atypical example, or is he more an early example of something that will become much more common.

I tend to think the latter. Thanks for the interview Tara.

Yay! My photo! Jonathan’s a really great guy. This was the first time we met/saw him.

By the way, I hadn’t listened to your podcast before. A friend was like, “I clicked on a picture at Horsecowpig and ended up on your Flickr page”.

This was a really interesting interview that took a different approach that most people have taken.
