Thanks Tara,

Reading this moved me, especially this: "My actual goals that I had and believed in were to shake up the world of marketing by creating customer-centric, grassroots type marketing plans that were light on the media buys and heavy on the interaction. Yet….here I was buying the media for myself (ads, fancy brochures, etc.). Instead of putting my energy into slowly building a reputation through well-executed campaigns that proved my theories that would lead to more work, I created the façade of success to bring in new work."

I'll come back to this post a few times to absorb it all.

"When I think of these companies, Apple and Google come to mind."

Tara, you have a whole lot of great companies under your belt that YOU have a unique perspective on. Apple and Google...any talking head can talk about those guys. I'd really love to see more writing where you share your unique ideas and perspectives (esp. about smaller businesses) instead of so many posts being about giant companies that are already saturating the news.
