This is a vital issue, not just in obvious contexts like the 2008 election, but in many, many, many business settings, where one person (the neurotic, the naysayer, the persistent worrier-for-no-reason) will libically hijack the rest of the crew because s/he is afraid that this project will:

a. Crash like ol&#039; Project X did;
b. Ruin the company;
c. Get everybody sued;
d. Offend the advertisers and drive them all away forever, leaving those of us with mortgages in permanent, stifling poverty; or
e. All of the above.

It&#039;s soooooo important to be aware of when we&#039;re being limbically hijacked (doing this would radically cut down on the popularity of Rudy Giuliani and Lou Dobbs, among others), AND of when we&#039;re doing it to other people.

Again, great post.  Much to think about here.</description>
