Moving break.

January 16, 2007 – 3:48 pm

I can’t believe that after only 1.5 years, we had enough accumulated junk that it took two strong young movers, Tad, Chris and I eight full-hours of just moving stuff from one house to another - only 15 minutes apart.

I know my blog was down for the weekend, some file overwriting another issue. I had no internet access until today and was too exhausted to stumble down the two blocks to the office. (nice commute, eh?)

Just wanted to mention this…I’ll be back in the swing of things shortly.

I know how you feel. The last time I moved it took my wife and I three days to move about 1 mile away.

I think the short distance moves don’t seem as tough so we tend to underestimate how long they will take.

It ought to be called “Mayflower’s Law” or something, one of those corollaries to Murphy’s.

Moving takes 3 times as long as you think it will. Trying to speed things up only causes errors which will gause you grief later.
