Hey, Tara, don't forget OneWebDay on Sept. 22. It's a day to reflect on how the web has changed the world and our lives, and how we'd like it to change the world in the future. And to do something (online-related) that is good for someone else.
Plans for outdoor celebrations are under way in New York (with Craig Newmark!), Austin, Chicago, Urbana/Champaign, San Francisco, Boston, Charleston, Vienna (Austria), Naples (Italy), Sofia (Bulgaria), and London (England). In Canada, a Canadian celebrity is running a OneWebDay tour for the month before OneWebDay (see onewebday.ca).
The SF evangelist for OneWebDay is Shannon Clark, who's working on a series of flashmobs for 9/22. I bet he'd really appreciate volunteers/help to pull this off.
so, anyway, wanted you to have this on your calendar.
