Delight or disgust

Sony Bravia is producing another orgy of color ad (see previous one here). Only this time, it sounds more like an environmental disaster:

70,000 litres of paint
358 single bottle bombs
33 sextuple air cluster bombs
22 Triple hung cluster bombs
268 mortars
33 Triple Mortars
22 Double mortars
358 meters of weld
330 meters of steel pipe
57 km of copper wire

Way cool or gross environmental negligence
(remember that paint is considered toxic waste)? And...what the hell does Sony Bravia do anyway other than produce these public installations advert installations?

They did the explosions in a very poor area of Glasgow and provided a great deal of entertainment for people who don't get much. I agree, though, that Sony would be best of doing something to make up for it (paying extra carbon tax, for example). In any case, the building is up for demolition and will all soon be dumped somewhere to be made into... what happens to old buildings anyway?! Now that is toxic...

Before condemming them I might confirm that the paints were in fact toxic.

It looks and sounds like they may have been using paintball paint - which is actually edible (if you're so inclined), water soluble and made of biodegradable or naturally occurring ingredients. (http://www.propaintball.com/faq.htm)

The stuff probably mostly washed off in the next rain.
