...Riya has an API, developed by the amazing Dan Chiao (who I miss terribly - he was my co-team-leader on the community team)!
I am really looking forward to seeing what people do with it and your feedback will definitely be passed along to the group.
p.s. I also hint hint strongly at Dan to bring that very API to Mashpit tomorrow so we can finally create that event auto-tagging we've been chatting about - Chris Radcliffe from Eventful will be there. Perfect chance. ;)

OH! I'm so excited about this. Finally I'll be able to build a blog feature for Riya.
