Jazz in tdot

...just a little note from my treo at the fabulous Reservoir Lounge in Tdot (forgot how much I love this place).

Last minute after a great Creative Commons Salon and a fabulous dinner with Jay, Bianca, David and Kristen at La Palette (another gem on Tdot)...I became overwhelmed with the desire to drag Chris to the Reservoir Lounge for some swinging jazz Tyler Yarema tuesday...and if that didn't already make this the perfect end to a brilliant day (Mesh rocked and my preso went better than I could jave imagined)...well, if that wasn't enough...

Michael Bublé just appeared and did a guest apearance singing "All of Me". I heart him so much.

Man...

Yours was the most interactive presentation I attended, but I'm sure that was no accident. I've always been a believer of planning your slides to death so they don't appear to be a script for what you're saying, but you've mastered that art. Very impressive.

Wow, sounds awesome Tara... Hope you had a great time in Toronto. Nice meeting you and Chris and please come back soon!

Instead of hanging out with you all, I went home and spent time with my 6 year old son, Aaron. He's giving me usability feedback on my little video recording project I told you about. He'll be a good critic I think...

Tara,
Nice work yesterday at mesh.

First, i enjoyed the keynote. I was amazed to see how many don't "get it' yet when it comes to your work on pinko marketing etc.

the key moment of this was during the corporate blog panel when the third panelist - the one who kept promoting her book and brought up random examples and expressed dismay at not being quoted in business week article - didn't raise her hand when you asked who had read cluetrain.

for me, it just drove home the point that there are a lot of marketers out there who don't get it, and maybe just won't get it. ever.

thanks for being a voice of reason.

Hi Tara,
"Horse, pig, cow..." what-ever. It could be a motto for an easy-going approach to life. I enjoyed reading the background story about how you named your blog.

Great to meet you at the CC salon last night in Toronto.

Um, I want Chief Blogger to be my next job title. I am so posting this on my personal blog today!!!

Wish I could have joined you guys last night at the CC Salon and mesh after party but prior biz plans intervened... I was trying to come up with an excuse to postpone all day but they knew I was at mesh so it was a bust...

Good presentation, wish I had caught the corp blogging panel, sounded like a good one... but there were so many good ones it felt like the conversation could have kept going for the rest of the week.

(oh and the Res... beautiful choice ;))

Tara (and everyone else!) -

Thanks for a great dinner! It was fun to finally get the six of us in one place.

Just to round out the link love, Bianca's blog is A Wee Bit Skint and Kristen's practice has a site at heeney.ca. Guess these must be the boom times they promised us when everyone at the table had at least one site to link to :)

Have to echo Juan's comments. Loved your presentation, which was the only "unconferenced" one there actually, which engaged the audience.

You have your own brand/ thing/ image going, and its the right thing for today. I hope Riya let you keep that.
