The Pinko Marketing Manifesto Wiki

Say that 10x really fast. ;)

My hope is that we can collaborate on making a really kickass manifesto.

In 1999, Doc, Chris, David and Rick published the Cluetrain online.

In 2005, Robert and Shel wrote Naked Conversations in a blog.

Today, I've set up a wiki to create the Pinko Marketing Manifesto.

Now, let's work together to create something worth publishing and rock the new world! ;)

Tara, I like what you are trying to do here and you obviously know what you are talking about (i.e., Riya and your past experience).

I did read your previous post about not being 'political' but still, the Communist Hammer and Sickle in the logo?

I'm no marketer and won't claim to be but imagery like that really says something to people.

Now, as someone relatively active and involved in the blogosphere, I understand what you are trying to articulate through that. But what about the average joe? What about the person who doesn't understand the commons or the power of community?

The Cold War Era is not an absolutely distant memory in many people's minds (especially Americans). And the Hammer and Sickle is the defining symbol of it. I think an effort detailing the rise of the consumer voice might really be hurt by its use ("deal with it" might not work). Just my 2.0 cents.
