Citywide Wifi rolls out in the UK. This is what I'm talking about, wireless access for all...although the article doesn't indicate cost (???), which could still be a prohibitive factor.

I'm still eagerly awaiting the SF plan to roll out citywide wifi...my plans for setting up a neighbournode have been slightly thrown off by the lack of a stronger connection in my area.
