BarCamp NYC

The robots are the only ones not having a great time at Bar Camp NYC. There are some serious geeks on the east coast with similar and new issues to tackle.

What I've sat in on:

  • Wendy's amazing presentation on beating the broadcast flag (I've asked her to point me to her presentation...which I'll update here. Important stuff to know and to get behind).
  • Finn Seth's Lucene/Ruby/Java stuff...got a little lost, but important stuff.
  • Nick's discussion of writing specs for us non-programmers for programmers, and through his Rent-a-Coder project. Next time I need some work done, definitely going there.
  • Amit, Brandon and Mike's presentation on making the whole web into a wiki. Way cool vision.
  • Hilary's amazing vision for IT education.
  • Gil and Jordan's 10 minute Ajax and all of that cool stuff (still lostish).
What next? What next?

Photos here. Wiki here. Blogs talking about it.
