Les Blogs Wrapup and Update

My update: I'm in Amsterdam after a very exhausting flight/train ride/etc. lugging WAAAY too much luggage with me (what was I thinking?). Paris was amazing. Les Blogs was amazing. Highlights:
The Back Channel
Well, whatever the word is out on the back channel, I think there were great connections made, amazing conversations had (yes, even the 'what's up with the finger food?' and the 'disruptions' to the speakers) and a generally wonderful layer to the already rich conference material being laid.
The International Presence
Damn, I wish Babblefish was better, because there are oodles of posts out there in various languages that I can't quite decipher, but appreciate for their presence alone. I met people from all over the world.
Meeting My Heroes
Hugh, it was fabulous meeting you as well and I look forward to being in London to carry on our conversations.
Ben Metcalfe. You do rock and I look forward to seeing you in London tomorrow at the BBC. Thanks for everything.
Ben Hammersley. Amazing amazing. I'll be in Florence soon. Vive le revolution!
Suw Charman. Finally! I get to meet you! I don't know what you are doing for the next couple of days, but, hopefully, we can meet up whilst I'm in London, too.
Lars and group at OpenBC. Hopefully I can make it to Hamburg soon. You have a fantastic product. I'll be spreading the word in SF!
Marcel Reichart. Munich sounds fantastic. Ping me about that conference.
Franck from Panenoo. Thanks for that great Mini BarCamp in Paris. What an amazing group of people you have put together.
Ed, Tom and Piaras. LOVE the Irish. What an amazing time I had with y'all. Evidence on Flickr.
Mr. Canter. Great seeing you again. We'll keep in touch. Fabulous contributions to the back channel.
Loic. Great conference. Disruptive and fantastic.
Of course, there were more people, like Rachel and Salim and Florian and Felix and Raymond and Nicole etc. etc. etc.
MiniBarCamp
Thanks to FactoryJoe, Francois and Franck for putting this one together. We went down to Dune, expecting to meet with a small handful of people. There must have been at least 25 - 30 French geeks there. Many of us gave demos, Chris gave advice on the BarCamp Paris and Microformats and we ended our Paris jaunt on an amazing note.
Many photos on Flickr from the conference itself, Paris general and posts galore. What I wonder is...why didn't it show on the homepage of Technorati? Hmmmm... I guess since it isn't in the US? It seems odd, since the Paris Chamber of Commerce was truly the center of the blogging universe for at least those two days...

Thanks for all your great comments, I really appreciate it and that you liked the conference !
Too bad I could not spend more time with you. Next time !
Hey Tara, great to meet you! Hope you didn't get the impression that all we do here is get boozed up ... sometimes we pretend to work aswell! (Yeah right...)
Had a cool time at Les Blogs, after-partys were serious fun, and poor Piaras is now starting a blog called 'flickrruinedmycareer.com'!!!
Must get to more events in the US ... amazing to see how many projects people are working on.
Hey Tara, Salim here... it was good meeting you, too. Fantastic conference...
I think the whole Ben thing was unfortunate... the backchannel IRC was displayed just as he typed his comment, so I suspect it was a complete misunderstanding...
Cheers,
Salim
