For me, though, it comes down to power. I'm all for empowering the individual. (dot)Ben, being merely a conference participant, was able to voice his own dissention to the subject matter, but was called out by the speaker, who, had the power in that room. The blogosphere is all about subverting those power structures. The 'me'conomy is rising, folks.

On another note, I admire that Mena has stepped up with a response. Hell, she is human and swearing on stage? That's pretty ballsy. The only issue I take is that some people take stuff WAY too seriously.
