People actually read my blog

Seriously! I thought only my friends and my Mom read it. I look at the stats and think I must be reading them wrong. That many people couldn't possibly be syndicating me or visiting daily.

But last night, I got to feel that 'Celebrity for 15 people' phenomenon, although it was more like 5 - but it wasn't the first event in SF I've been to and experienced this.

I actually had people approaching me, saying, "I just wanted to come over and meet you. I read HorsePigCow all the time!" then they'd add a personal tidbit like, "Your new place looks great!" or "You're right, the state of women in technology has to be looked at."

No way! The coolest part of this is that my husband was witness to it all and was very impressed at my mini-celebrity. LOL. And the other coolest part of this experience was that the readers were from other areas, like Dallas, Texas.

So, as I said I would, a big shout out to my Dallas readers! It was great meeting Brian and Alexander and I'm sure I'll see them a couple more times before Web 2.0 is over. And another shout out to Shane and Leslie, originally from Oakville, Ontario, who found me one day when they plugged the words Canada and San Francisco into Google. And HI to Eddie, who reads HPC ocassionally, but didn't realize that I was her...

Crap. Now I'm going to have to watch what I say.
