Gyms are inhumane

Someone once told me that working out gives you more energy. Why is it, then, that after every workout, I feel like collapsing for the night? I've been doing this for almost a month now and instead of feeling 'grrrreeaat!', I walk around in a constant state of stiff and soreness.

On that note, though, I am committed and seeing how out of shape I actually am, it's important to keep truckin'. I think I will need to hire a personal trainer for a spell to keep the momentum going. The guy I met with last evening was good, but he was a bit of a jock-head. He reminded me of the fireman I dated briefly years ago. Cute, but not too bright. But, I suppose I'm not seeking compelling conversation (I can hardly talk, let alone breathe when I'm doing some of those exercises), and he did put together a workout that kills, but doesn't get too fancy just like I requested.

Ugh. Who invented working out and gyms and this stuff anyway?
